Dr Matharoo is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist at St Mark’s Hospital — the national bowel hospital, London. She studied medicine at Imperial College and holds a PhD in the safety and quality of gastrointestinal endoscopy pathways.
She is an Associate Editor of Frontline Gastroenterology and represents the British Society of Gastroenterology on the Royal College of Physicians Patient Safety Committee. Her published work focuses on endoscopy quality and safety, and she teaches endoscopy internationally through programmes including ESGE Endoscopy Essentials, GIEQs Endoscopy Unplugged and Endoscopy on Air.
